I never thought I would report something quite like this, but it is a crazy world we live in. Authorities report that a bomb has been found in an area used as the town's main water supply. The bomb was found at a dam in Mobile, Alabama.

The bomb was detonated by the Gulf Coast Regional Maritime Bomb Squad. Divers were brought in by the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System, and they made the explosive discovery. According to 1819 News, the bomb squad believes that the device was built and then placed at that location with the intent to cause harm.

At this point, the Department of Homeland Security has been brought to Mobile along with FBI bomb technicians. The ALEA Bomb Squad and Daphne Search and Rescue assisted in the detonation of the device.

The land surrounding the dam is federally protected, yet the dam can be accessed by anyone driving in the area. Authorities also maintain that staffers are present at the location daily; we do not know if the site is monitored via cameras.

Staffers and locals tell us they are very disturbed by the development, and many wonder why anyone would want to attack the only water supply for many locals.
