After enduring the pain that no parent should have to endure, the Roberts family returned to Alabama from California earlier this afternoon.

Their son Will went through what became a very public battle with cancer and, along the way, touched lots of hearts and lives with his social media videos. Will's mother, Brittney, also posted updates along the way, inspiring thousands to offer up prayers for young Will. After Will "stole" his mom's phone and posted a video about a medication to treat his cancer, the story made it all the way to President Donald Trump.

Several local celebrities and politicians forwarded the video to the powers that be in Washington, DC which led to Will getting flown to California to receive the controversial medication. Unfortunately, it did not have the impact that many were hoping for, and Will ended up being treated at a well-known children's hospital in San Diego.

Will lost his battle with cancer last week.

That's when a social media campaign began to call for West Alabama to come out to Fosters, Alabama, and welcome the family home. Several hundred people lined the streets to show their support for the Roberts family. You can see some of the welcome home event below.
