Junior League of Tuscaloosa’s Find the Good Day Creates Community Impact
The Junior League of Tuscaloosa (JLT) joined Junior League organizations nationwide to celebrate ‘Find the Good Day,’ promoting kindness, community impact, and positive change.
Locally, two community impact projects brought together members, partners, and residents through service. The day showcased JLT’s commitment to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action.

One of the featured projects was the American Red Cross Blood Drive at the Northport Civic Center, located inside City Hall, which aimed to highlight the urgent need for blood donations in Alabama while also shining a light on Sickle Cell Awareness Month. Thanks to strong community support, more than 30 residents rolled up their sleeves to give the gift of life.
The 2025-2026 JLT Provisional Class also made a meaningful contribution by leading a professional skills workshop for the clients at Tuscaloosa’s One Place. The workshop equipped participants with practical resources designed to help them launch and strengthen their career paths.
“I am incredibly proud of the impact our provisionals made today at Tuscaloosa’s One Place,” said Shae Byrd, JLT Provisional Chair. “This workshop is the start of a meaningful partnership, and it was inspiring to see participants so engaged, curious, and motivated to take the next steps toward building their careers.”
Through these initiatives, JLT continues its legacy of "training women to do a world of good.” Proving that when women come together to find the good, communities thrive.
“These projects truly embody what ‘Find the Good Day’ is all about,” said Danielle Kimbrough Spikes, President of the Junior League of Tuscaloosa. “Our members came together and partnered with trusted organizations like the American Red Cross and Tuscaloosa’s One Place, and met real needs in our community.
