There is a new face on campus at the University of Alabama named Grant Nelson. Grant who stands at 6-Foot-11 entered the NBA draft on April 18th. However, he reconsidered his decision and decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal on May 2 and withdrew from the NBA draft pool.

Nelo would lead the North Dakota Bison with an average of over 17 points a game and over nine rebounds per game. After spending three seasons with North Dakota State Nelson said his goodbyes via his Instagram to NDCU.

Nelson visited both Arkansas and Alabama with the Capstone being Nelson’s choice. Nelson will fill Bama’s needs in the front court with Noah Clowney and Charles Bediako entering the NBA Draft pool.

Nelson comes to the Crimson Tide as a 30.7 percent three-point shooter for his career. Grant is the third transfer to come to Alabama for the upcoming basketball season.
