Saban put those rumors to bed on Wednesday as he visited the Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team at the end of practice before the team leaves for the Sweet 16 in Louisville.
The Crimson Tide have consistently brought in top-15 ranked classes in basketball since Oats has been in charge, with a specific highlight on the 2022 class that was considered the No. 4 class in the nation.
The request follows a groundbreaking report showing inconsistencies between testimony brought forth in an earlier hearing and video footage from the evening.
The Crimson Tide is the Louisville regional with No. 5 seeded San Diego State, No. 6 seeded Creighton and No. 15 seeded Princeton. Its the 10th Sweet 16 appearance in program history.
