I know it can be a tad on the expensive side, but they do have several drinks that get me juiced up, along with many others in America, for another busy day.

Yesterday was National Coffee Day, and several coffee outlets offered free coffee as long as you ordered through the app; however, a handful of Starbucks locations were already closed.
According to al.com, the corporate office of Starbucks has agreed to close a small percentage of stores in the US.
Nationally, it’s over 400 locations, but in Alabama, it ends up being just four stores that are no longer open.
The locations that have closed down as of today are below:
  • Eufaula – 811 Eufaula Ave.
  • Vestavia Hills – 3186 Rush Street, Liberty Park
  • Montgomery – 6501 Atlanta Highway/Atlanta Highway and McLemore
  • Mobile – 3255 Airport Blvd/I-65 Airport Blvd.
There are reports of social media petitions to save some of these locations, with people telling corporate how much these stores mean to their community.

As Starbucks has recently expanded their offerings in West Alabama with a new location that does not seem to be a representation of the Starbucks brand and their growth plans at this time.

No word has been given on whether this will be the only Alabama store to shut down for the remainder of the year.
