Alabama Restaurant Sued Over Portion Sizes
I'm a big boy.
I admit it.
I love our restaurants in West Alabama and across the entire state of Alabama.
Come on, we have Big Mikes Steakhouse in Moundville, Avenue Pub in Tuscaloosa (best cheeseburger in town), Evangeline's in Tuscaloosa, and River in Tuscaloosa.
Those are just a few of the great restaurants in West Alabama.
Across the state, we have places like Chez Fonfon/Birmingham, Jesse's/Magnolia Springs, Vintage Year/Montgomery, and The Bright Star/Bessemer (one of my all-time favorites) are another small sample of the best in Alabama.
I can't imagine many situations that would cause me to sue a restaurant.
If I was served something that caused me or a family member to be deathly ill or if they caused serious burns etc.
However, I don't believe I would sue because my PORTION SIZE was not big enough.
If you check sites like Reddit, this place has 29 locations in Alabama, and folks have been complaining about this issue for quite some time.
Which restaurant has been at the center of this controversy?
Chipotle Mexican Grill has locations in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Hoover, Mobile, and many others.
Now, it's been taken to a whole new level.
A lawsuit has been filed over portion sizes.
That's right, a lawsuit has been filed over how much food is on your plate.
I'm failing to understand how a restaurant that is known for its BIG burritos and BIG bowls could screw this up so badly.
Chipotle barely survived the "tomato-gate" incident back in 2015.
Tomatoes were the cause of the salmonella outbreak that caused Chipotle stock to tumble.
Now, folks just want more than ONE tomato on their plates.
Lord have mercy.
