Yet another stat Alabama ranks last. We should be ashamed!
As a big water drinker, this upsets me. Is it too much to ask for some good, clean drinking water?
It's not enough that we already have a couple of the most dangerous cities in America.
NOW, we get this news about our drinking water.
Is it just me or is it hard to ALWAYS have bottled water for everything every single day?
God forbid you live in a house or apartment with a bunch of stairs!
So, first, a couple of Alabama cities that also came in pretty high on the latest crime report.

Birmingham, Alabama, came in third with higher-than-average crime rates and lower living standards.
If that's not enough, here comes the water quality report from J.D. Power ranking the states with the best and worst tap water based on six factors:
- quality and reliability
- price
- conservation
- billing and payment
- communications
- customer service
The study tracked water utility customers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The states were scored on a scale of 100 to 1,000 points.
Unfortunately, Alabama didn't make the top 10 best:
- Kentucky
- Washington
- New York
- Oregon
- Kansas
- Massachusetts
- Connecticut
- Minnesota
- Virginia
- Hawaii

Alabama ranked as the state with the worst tap water in the country.
Alabama, which had a quality and reliability score of 701, struggled in almost every category.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, around 2.1 million Alabamians use groundwater as their source of drinking water.
About 20 percent of these users get their water from wells. Because of this, individuals are responsible for the safety of their own drinking water.
In Alabama, you should be testing your water at least once a year.
