Alabama Jewelry Store Owner Replaces Eye With Diamond
We do things differently in Alabama.

I hope our good friend Gene "Poogie" Poole at Hudson Poole Jewelers gets a look at this story.
An Alabama jewelry store owner lost one of his eyes due to a serious illness.
So, faced with the prospect of wearing a prosthetic eye, he approached an ocularist to design something that would really stand out whenever you saw him.
Not just any prosthetic eye, but an actual diamond.
John Imm is the man who designed the prosthetic diamond eye for the owner.
Here's a closer look at the diamond eye in a short video.

I don’t know about you, but I have so many questions about this and cannot help but wonder, can you actually cry out of that prosthetic eye?
It’s a 2-carat diamond by the way, and yes, like most diamonds, when the light hits it the right way, it really shines.
I know they’re doing incredible things with prosthetics, mainly in arms and legs, but now they have reached a new high, according to this happy customer with a real diamond in the eye.
They have made serious advancements in prosthetics in recent years, including mind-controlled and AI-powered bionic limbs.
This new tech uses neural signals and machine learning for intuitive control and sensory feedback.
In relation to the diamond in place of an eye, well, one thought comes to mind.
I guess it lends a new meaning to telling someone their eyes really sparkle.
