Alabama: Can You Get In Legal Trouble For Driving Barefoot?
I love Alabama. ROLL TIDE!

I love the warm weather, most of the time, in Alabama.
Footloose and fancy-free!
If I want to drive shirtless, shoeless, and brainless that is 100% my decision.
Stay out of my business government!
But seriously, is it something that can get you arrested? Can you get a big fine and points on your license?
The laws in Alabama for what is legal while you're behind the wheel are interesting.
Did you know you can wear headphones while driving?
That seems highly dangerous to me. You need to be able to hear emergency vehicles if they are not in sight. Even though, the law states that you CAN wear headphones as long as they don't impair your ability to hear.
I have a close friend who nearly died while driving in flip-flops.
The flip-flops got caught on the throttle and the driver could not get them loose! That's a scary moment due to the wrong footwear choice.
What about driving with NO shoes or footwear of any kind?
According to our official lawyer, Steven Mezrano (#MEZWINS) if you like driving barefoot you are good to go.
It's not against the law (I really thought it was illegal) for any Alabama drivers to drive without shoes on their feet.
However, if you ride motorcycles, Alabama law does make it clear you can NOT ride a bike without shoes. So take that to the bank and maybe put some shoes on while you are driving.
