Tuscaloosa Tornado Survivor Tells His Amazing Story

Matt Wilson will never forget 4/27/2011.  He shared his tornado survival story with the 953 Bear Steve Shannon Morning Show.

Matt woke up, went to class, and then to work at Big Lots. The normal day later became anything but normal.

Matt found himself seeking shelter from a fast approaching tornado. Matt and others went to the back of Big Lotts and sheltered under racks that held heavy merchandize. The loud roar of the twister kept Matt from hearing the roof blow off the store. Things collapsed around him. It was dark inside the store. But Matt quickly felt wind blowing as the walls around him had collapsed.
