“Received some BIG news - about what will be a welcome addition to the Tuscaloosa restaurant scene.  This will make A LOT of people happy, including myself.  Sworn to secrecy now - but work has started on the space.”
Let the speculation begin.
Irelands! Remember the steak and biscuits?
The Landing! Now that was fine dining. And great prime rib.
Long John Silvers! This is just for Louie Linquini. If you know, you know.
Bama-Bino Pizza! This would make many Tuscaloosa long-timers really happy. And those yellow cups would be a must.
Woody’s! It was a personal favorite of mine in  Northport.
Storyville! Archie Farr’s!  Solomon’s!
So who has food news intel? Call me.

Some folks still miss catching a quick bite at Kwik Snak, or remembering Bachelor III, Joe Namath’s place, tied to a Crimson Tide legend. Even some chain spots like O’Charley’s on McFarland, now closed, carry memories for families. Why do we miss these places? Is it just

Is it just the food, or the moments tied to them? Maybe it’s those Friday nights, or the friends you shared a booth with. Tuscaloosa’s food scene keeps changing, but the memories stick.

LOOK: These Foods Look Nothing Like You'd Expect Before They're Harvested

See what everyday foods like coffee, pineapples, and cashews (super weird!) look like before they make their way onto your table and into your belly.
