Update: Tuscaloosa’s Strip Closed For Safety As Crowds Swell

Due to overcrowding, the Tuscaloosa Police Department is closing the Strip to maintain public order and safety.

Everyone currently on the street is required to either go inside a business or leave the area.

We have patrol units blocking vehicle traffic at both the University Boulevard and Reed Street and the University Boulevard and Frank Thomas/Campus Drive West intersections.

This post will be updated when the area is reopened.
