Tuscaloosa Police Charge Virginia Man with Sexual Assault of a Juvenile
Tuscaloosa Police have charged a 45-year-old Virginia Beach man with sexually assaulting a juvenile, a TPD spokesperson reported Tuesday.
Lt. Teena Richardson, TPD's public information officer, said officers were called to the 2500 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway early Tuesday morning.
A juvenile female there said she had been sexually assaulted by Richard Charles Osborn, a 45-year-old man from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Richardson officers were able to stop Osborn as he attempted to leave the area, and an investigator with the police department's Juvenile Division was called to the scene.
After interviewing both the suspect and the victim, police arrested Osborn and charged him with first-degree sexual assault.
Osborn was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail where he remained Tuesday afternoon on a $15,000 bond.
Richard said the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
