TPD is accepting applications for the 2026 Citizens Police Academy.

Classes will be held every Monday night in February and March from 6 to 9 PM.

Citizens Academy participants will learn about the police department structure, services, and personnel.

Experience a ride along with a patrol officer.

Spend a day at the shooting range.

Take part in a hands-on, mock homicide investigation.

Witness the use of cutting-edge technology by forensic scientists, investigators, and many more activities to give students a firsthand look at daily operations.

Dinner will be provided in each class.
