Tuscaloosa Man Charged with Killing His Uncle

Carlos Barnes, a Tuscaloosa man accused of stabbing his uncle in July, has been charged with murder after the wounds from that night proved fatal.

The victim, Michael Michael Anthony, was hospitalized after the stabbing at Crescent East Apartments in Tuscaloosa.

According to the Tuscaloosa News, police report that Carlos Barnes threw a beer can during an argument with Michael Barnes’ daughter, and Michael went to calm him down when Carlos grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest.

The uncle was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment, but died Monday.
