I literally love this guy.

LOVE HIM.

He's one of my all-time favorite Alabama Crimson Tide players.

In fact, those Saban years were some of the best, in my opinion.

It was really the start of Nick Saban running the "run & shoot" offense in Tuscaloosa.

OK, that was a bit of a stretch. I know that but Coach Saban had a long history of winning without a QB. You know what I mean. I'm talking about that marquee name at QB.

All of a sudden a young man from Hawaii walks into Coach Saban's world and changes everything.

That was so exciting to watch as a fan. Tua Tagavoila was sent into the game in the 3rd Quarter in the National Championship Game and let me introduce you to DeVonta Smith.

The receivers during those years were insane in every way.

Jerry Jeudy

Henry Ruggs

DeVonta Smith

Calvin Ridley

Jaylen Waddle

Just one of those wideouts would have been enough for 99% of college football teams.

We had it all. Ruggs was my favorite because of one trait that he possessed.

Speed, of course was huge, but he was tough. He did not play like a "speedy" WR at Alabama.

No fear. Across the middle? You bet.

That was so fun to watch each Saturday in the Fall.

I still followed him as he was a top draft pick by the Las Vegas Raiders.

He continued to shine on Sundays.

One night, he and a female spent hours at a Top Golf location. They drank and drank and drank.

The NFL provides a service for players to call and be picked up and driven home when they are intoxicated.

Henry didn't do that. He went very fast and killed a young lady. As well as her beloved dog.

I don't think it would be very good if he were allowed back on the field so quickly.

I am ALL about second chances, but this is a second chance that needs more time.
