Northport/Tuscaloosa Helps Ida Victims In Louisiana
Northport Mayor Bobby Herndon has announced a drive to collect much-needed items for victims of Hurricane Ida in Hammond, Louisiana.
Mayor Herndon spoke with the mayor’s office in Hammond and relayed how appreciative they are of Northport/Tuscaloosa's efforts to help them.
They can use everything, but here are specific needs mentioned:
chain bar oil
juice for kids
battery power packs for cell phones
Tuscaloosa County High School and Thompson High School, who play football Friday night, have agreed to have a non-perishable food drive contest. Large trucks will be at each school according to Mayor Herndon. The school that raises the most supplies will be announced at the game Friday night.
There will also be a truck at Bobby Herndon’s land survey office starting at 10 am Wednesday 9/1/21.
Mayor Herndon asks that we all join forces and be a blessing to those in need.
