Morning Show Gets Piggsicle Sauce!

Day two of The Steve Shannon Morning Show with Simone Eli was a hit! It's well known that Steve and Simone LOVE them some BBQ. This morning during "Share and Tell," Monk made a special appearance on the show and mentioned his favorite barbecue sauce; "Piggsicle Sauce" from the former Pigg Shack restaurant near Hillcrest High School. Monk mentioned on-air that he hasn't had the sauce in nearly 3 years, after the restaurant closed.

Within an hour there was a special delivery to the station: Piggsicle Sauce! Pigg Shack owner, Ed Thompson, brought jars of sauce to the entire morning crew! Thompson, now retired, was woken up by his wife NeNe after she heard the show mention her husband's special sauce. Thompson came rolling into 95.3 The Bear with a big smile and a bag of sauce from heaven! Don't be too jealous!
