Step into my world and let's review the headlines. Today we'll learn about 'The Bronze Bomber', McDonald's Pizza, Kelly Clarkson, and vodka swilling elephants!

ALABAMA NEWS: The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder showed out on Showtime in camo trunks as he defeated Kelvin Price to win the World Boxing Council Continental Americas title belt on Saturday. A native of Tuscaloosa, Deontay improves his record in the ring to 26 wins (all by KO) and 0 losses! We’re proud to call him one of our own!

NATIONAL NEWS: Last week a trailer carrying two elephants caught fire in Seria and without their trailer they were exposed to the harsh Russian winter. Their handlers feared they would freeze to death before another trailer could be sent to pick them up. So, their trainer had each elephant each drink 2.6 gallons of vodka mixed with warm water. The elephants suffered only minor frostbite on the tips of their ears and never appeared to be "drunk". What we can learn from this is that milk does a body a good and vodka keeps a body warm, right?!

SPORTS: It seems as though University of Alabama defensive backs coach Jeremy Pruitt has taken a job as defensive coordinator with Florida State.  FSU’s Mark Stoops left the team to take the head coaching job at Kentucky leaving the vacancy.

ENTERTAINMENT: ‘The Hobbit’ led the box office over the weekend with a record setting opening of $84.6 million. That was better than the three previous "Lord of the Rings" films.

MUSIC: Kelly Clarkson shared the news on Twitter. On Saturday night she wrote, "I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :)" The pop singer turned country diva is now engaged to long time boyfriend and stepson of Reba, Brandon Blackstock.
