Mayoral Candidate Martin Houston Says He Would Debate Walt Maddox

Former Alabama Crimson Tide football player Martin Houston is running for mayor of Tuscaloosa.

Coach Gene Stallings came to Tuscaloosa yesterday to endorse Houston. Stallings joked that he didn’t know why Houston would want that job.

Candidate Houston told the 953 Bear Steve Shannon Morning Show that he wants to take Tuscaloosa from good to great.
Houston believes many in Tuscaloosa feel left out by city government. He added that some people have told him there were many unkept promises.

Houston was asked what he would have done different than incumbent mayor Walt Maddox regarding covid-19.
