It is a large enough number that a Northport man has a desire to feed at least 300 hungry individuals/families every single day.

That's 300 people each day in Tuscaloosa County.

The man behind this incredible mission is Patol Garcia, aka Pastor Garcia of the famous "Pastors Kitchen" in Northport.

Garcia has started "Kingdom Kitchen" here in Tuscaloosa County to feed the hungry.

The mission of Kingdom Kitchen is rooted in the Bible verse Matthew 25:40, which speaks of "whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers/sisters of mine, you did for me. "

Those words came from Jesus Christ.

The ministry is Christ-centered, seeking to serve the "least of these", according to Garcia.

That service is about putting food, shelter, clothing, and hope into the lives of those with true needs in our area.

The vision is a community where every person in West Alabama has life's essentials and is met with dignity and compassion.

Garcia told me that he invites partners to join Kingdom Kitchen and volunteer or donate in an effort to live out Christ's love in West Alabama.

You can help give (every cent helps provide for families in need), serve (as a volunteer), or partner (as a church, business, organization).

There is an event for Kingdom Kitchen on September 16th at the Cypress Inn Pavilion.
