Former Alabama Star Hits Game Winner In Different Sport
No doubt about it, a great athlete is simply a great athlete in any sport.
A former Alabama Crimson Tide football star showed his athletic ability in a completely different sport.
Although not every athlete has been able to do the "multi-sport" thing with success.
Just ask Michael Jordan about that.
In this case, the athlete in question has a history of "walk-off" success in his career.
In a game all Alabama fans will remember forever, this freshman became legendary in one play.
It was January of 2018, overtime.

Yes, freshman WR Devonta Smith in an infamous game vs. the Tide's rival Georgia Bulldogs, made the catch heard around the SEC.
This was also the game that saw starting QB Jalen Hurts benched in the second half in favor of backup QB Tua Tagovailoa.
What a game. Alabama 26, Georgia 23 in Atlanta.
This time, it wasn't nearly as important as that 2018 game.
It was just for fun. Tide legend Devonta Smith, playing in a celebrity softball tournament, hit the walk-off winner wearing his iconic #6 jersey.

Just take a moment to look at what Smith has accomplished in his young career.
He won the Heisman trophy, TWO National Championships with the Tide, and a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles.
What a career, and he is just getting started.
