We already knew what the "elitists" think of us poor southern folk.

Just living down here running our moonshine and barely existing in the world.

Rarely though do they blurt it out on network television.

CBS Sunday host Margaret Brennan let her feelings be known while interviewing VP J.D. Vance.

As a Southerner, I have seen this happen so many times on network TV, in movies, and on CNN not that long ago.

On Sunday, Brennan and Vance were discussing FEMA in relation to the Los Angeles fires.

President Trump made some comments over the weekend about FEMA and the need for it in the future.

Brennan said something along the lines of "If FEMA is gone, what will those hillbillies down in the Alabama's, the Mississippi's and the Kentucky's do without federal help"?

The governor of Mississippi said on social media that there were some "hilarious elitism" and "condescending questions" on display that JD Vance handled very well.

Don't forget that she reminded everyone that Alabama and the others were ranked in the bottom three for per capita income.

I watched a talk show on CNN last year with a panel who all began to do an impression of how we Southern folks sound while the host laughed like it was the funniest thing in history.

It wasn't funny at all. We don't all sound like Foghorn Leghorn!

How do we survive down here with all of us being so poor and stupid?
