Birmingham Ranks Among Top U.S. Foodie Cities

For many, being a foodie is about the thrill of discovery. Uncovering hidden culinary gems and deciding whether or not to share them or keep them as secrets.

I've already shared some of my foodie favorites from my home state of Florida a few weeks ago. Trust me, if you love wings, this place has THEE BEST wings in the state.

A WalletHub study ranked 180 cities with 28 indicators of foodie friendliness, including affordability and diversity options.

Unfortunately, the top 5 cities on the list did not include any Alabama cities, but featured Miami, San Francisco, Orlando, Portland, & Tampa. Giving Florida a claim for the best foodie state.

Although there were no Alabama cities in the top 5, we managed to snag a place on the list.

The Alabama city that made the list was none other than Birmingham!

Birmingham comes in at #124, which caused me to think about some local favorites I’ve heard about in the area.

Some local favorites are Whiskey Foxtrot burger bar for their chili cheese brat, The Purple Onion for their grilled chicken plate, & the amazing pizzas at Salvatore’s Pizza & Pasta, all within the Birmingham metro area in Hoover.
