This Alabama City Had “Insane Flux” Of People Move In
Everyone talks about Alabama as if people are leaving, and that is not what the facts show.

For the third consecutive year, most of Alabama's major cities saw population growth in 2025 compared with 2024.
Now, of course, one city seems to have a monopoly on all the big influx of citizens arriving, and it’s a town that I’m a little tired of hearing so much about.
That’s not to take anything away from this city; it is a very cool town with valuable assets for our state, and it also puts us on the technology and space program map.
I’m sure from that clue you were able to guess that it’s Huntsville.
As reported by This Is Alabama, Huntsville saw an “insane influx of people” over the last year.
By the way, who confirms all of this information? Well, none other than the fine folks at U-Haul.
I mean, who would know better than U-Haul when it comes to who is moving where in Alabama?
This year, Alabama ranked in the top 10 states by transaction volume, up from 16th the previous year.
As noted earlier, the facts indicate that more people are moving into Alabama than out.
Interestingly enough, where are most of these folks coming from?
The West Coast.
Other cities that ranked high on the list include Auburn, Bay Minette, Chelsea, Cullman, Daphne, Decatur, Fairhope, Foley, and Hoover, among others.
