Midstates Petroleum, one of the biggest suppliers in the southeast, owner Ric Mayers shared his thoughts in an exclusive conversation with the 953 Bear Steve & DC Morning Show.

Mayers said to expect to see another 30-cent increase followed by a 15-cent increase per gallon at the pump in Alabama in the coming days.

Several factors determine the higher gas prices.

Mayers advised Alabama motorists not to rush out and fill their tanks before any increase. This could have an immediate adverse impact on the already rising prices.

The Triple-A national average is $3.45 per gallon. The Alabama average is $3.04 per gallon.

The good news is we can expect a sudden drop in gas prices as soon as the conflict with Iran ends.
