Ambrose-Hylton arrived at Alabama as a 4-star prospect out of Toronto, Canada in the class of 2020. He appeared in 29 games for the Tide over the course of two seasons as a backup post player.

He scored 32 points with 22 rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks during his Alabama career.

He originally chose Alabama over USC, Arkansas, Florida and several other schools.

The Canadian joins Samuell Williamson, Xavier Foster and Ricardo Wright as transferees to join SMU in the offseason.

Ambrose-Hylton will leave Alabama but he is forever a part of the 2020 season in which the Tide won the SEC regular season and tournament championship.

He joins three other Alabama transferees to find new homes as Juwan Gary joined Nebraska, Jusaun Holt joined Georgia and James Rojas joined Wichita State. Only Alex Tchikou remains in the transfer portal looking for a new school.
