Alabama fans will soon hit the road to cheer on the Crimson Tide, heading west to Norman, Oklahoma, home to the Sooners for the first round of the college football playoffs.

The game will be on Friday, December 19, at 7 p.m., at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, also known as Owen Field. It’s one of the “largest sports venues in the state of Oklahoma and ranks among the 20 largest on-campus football stadiums in the nation. Each home football Saturday, Sooner Nation packs the 80,126-seat "Palace on the Prairie,” said Sooners Sports.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 58.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 58.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39.

James Spann, Alabama Weather Network and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said the “sky will be clear with temperatures falling from the mid 50s at kickoff, to near 50 by the final whistle. It will be a bit breezy with a south wind averaging 10-20 mph.”

Be sure to pack accordingly and be aware of the warm-up from Friday to Saturday with a 13-degree difference in the highs.
