Alabama Basketball Recruiting Class Ranked #2 in Country

A day after signing three players to its 2017 class, Alabama basketball picked up two big names Thursday.

Five-star, 6-foot-2, point guard Collin Sexton (Mableton, Georgia.) and four-star, 6-foot-5, shooting guard John Petty (Huntsville) signed with the Tide. With the additions, Alabama's recruiting class is ranked 2nd in the country - their top-ranked class in school history.

Sexton is the #7 ranked player in the country and #2 point guard. He chose Alabama over Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, and many others.

Petty is the #31 player overall and the #5 shooting guard in the country. Petty also ranks as the #2 player in the state of Alabama and turned down an offer from Kentucky to join the Tide.

Alabama tips off the season at home Thursday night against Coastal Carolina, game time set for 8pm.
