Hurricane season is less than a month away. The National Hurricane Center has unveiled the list of names for the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, spanning from June 1 to November 30.

For those of us in Alabama residing inland, hurricanes may not always be our primary concern. However, given the close proximity to our stunning beaches, we naturally maintain an interest in the region.
Plus, it's well-known that hurricanes can unleash severe weather that reaches far inland, impacting multiple states as they travel.

Ever since I could plot the latitude and longitude of the center of a storm on a paper map, a game I play is when the hurricane naming list is released. My mission is to see if any family or friends' names are on the list. Then I share the news with them.
