Why Scott Shepherd Felt Like Wile E. Coyote

It started Friday after lunch. I was standing in 95.3 The Bear studio yapping on my phone. I dropped it. The screen shattered. It was 1:30pm.

A few folks around the station got a good laugh. I was pretty beat up but optimistic. I pay an insurance premium on my phone every month. This should be easy. I logged on to my insurance provider website, entered a bit of information and in less than 5 min, my claim was filed. It was 2:30pm

I just assumed that I would have to carefully use my shattered phone over the weekend(Glass shards were working their way off the screen) while I waited on my new one to come in the mail. I used my tracking number Saturday morning to check on the progress. It was 11:30am. The website gave an estimated delivery time of 12p!

At 12:00pm my doorbell rang. Fed-Ex had dropped off my new phone in less that 24 hours from the second I shattered the screen. I felt like Wile E Coyote ordering from the Acme Co!
