What Most People Did Not See Nick Saban Do After Alabama’s Win Against Tennessee
After the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Tennessee Volunteers 52-24 Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium, head coach Nick Saban finished his last interview on the field, and as usual, walked toward the Alabama tunnel.
But, Saban quickly realized he wasn't ready to go home just yet.

The coach turned around and sprinted to the south endzone, where he stood and applauded the student section for the part they played in Bama's victory over the Vols. The stadium had perhaps the most raucous, loudest atmosphere Tuscaloosa had seen all season.
Was it the fact that it was homecoming? Could it have been the jittered anticipation over lighting up a victory cigar? Was it just because we really hate Tennessee?
Who's to say. But there is one thing Saban knew for sure last night: the student section delivered on making sure Bryant-Denny Stadium was as electric as possible for Alabama's fifteenth straight win over Tennessee.
Saban later affirmed in his postgame interview that the fans had made a difference in Bryant-Denny Stadium. This comes after crowd noise played a critical part in forcing Tennessee to take several false start penalties.
The Bama student section stayed until the final whistle blew and even afterward to smoke their celebration cigars.
