Mother's Day is always treated with the respect and the free lunch or dinner it deserves.

Sometimes, the dads get nothing more than a quick phone call.

If you live in West Alabama, that is about to change.

Get ready for a big event focused on Fathers and their children.

The event is called Fathers In The Park, and it is happening this Saturday.

It's a celebration of dads and the huge and vital role that they play in every child's life.

It is designed to help strengthen relationships and family bonds, and it's hosted by Tuscaloosa's One Place.

Fathers In The Park will take place between 9 am and 1 pm at Snow Hinton Park in Tuscaloosa.

The celebration will feature numerous great games and activities designed to foster and encourage interaction between dads and their kids.

The games/activities are perfect for all age groups.

Food and refreshments will be on hand so everyone can enjoy great food during the four-hour event.

Giveaways/Prizes will also be a big part of the festivities this Saturday.

We had the opportunity to speak with Rosevelt Jackson from Tuscaloosa's One Place and get inside the Father's Day bash.
