West Alabama Faces Bitterly Cold Conditions Plus Snow Chances
Tomorrow, Monday, January 6, Alabamians will notice a significant temperature difference from Sunday. In some spots, it will be nearly a 20 to 25-degree difference.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham said that “behind Sunday night's storm system, snow flurries or light snow showers might occur Monday morning. Accumulations, if any, should be minimal and limited to grassy or elevated surfaces.”
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said to be prepared for cold and windy conditions. “Temperatures hold in the 30s over the northern half of the state where snow flurries and showers are likely (no travel impact). The wind chill index will remain below freezing all day tomorrow over the northern counties.”
