
Video of a Tornado Touching down on Skyland Blvd. on April 27, 2011
Just a few minutes after 5 pm on April 27, 2011, I stepped outside of our Skyland Blvd. offices to get a look at the weather. What I captured was more than a thunderstorm.
The clouds were ominous and angry looking. The rain had just let up and the wind was beginning to stir. As I glanced down the street toward Lowe's I noticed what looked like little fingers coming out of the clouds. Fearing that it was the start of a rotation within the clouds, I started filming on my phone.
My heart was nearly beating out of my chest as you hear the wind start to howl. Here is what I saw...
