Abe almost won the match for the Tide, but she just missed an eagle putt on the par-5 18th hole against Arizona's No. 1 player Haley Moore. When the two returned to the 18th hole for a playoff, Abe parred the hole but Moore made a birdie to clinch the championship for the Wildcats.
The Alabama Men's Golf Team play for the National Championship this weekend in Oklahoma. The Tide will tee off Friday afternoon at 12:42.
30 teams will play 3 rounds of stroke play before the field is out to 15 tams for the 4th round. Those 15 teams will be whittled down to 8 teams that will play another 3 rounds of match play for the national title Alabama enters the tournament ranked 5th in the nation.
