How can this be true? All the cities out there, and Tuscaloosa ends up on top of this list?

I refuse to believe what my own headline says, because it just cannot be true.
What in the world is going on?
Tuscaloosa is one of the most expensive places to live in the United States.
Are you kidding me?
Think about wine country out in California, where every tech billionaire under the sun chooses to live or have a home.
Let’s talk about all the cities in Florida that have resorts and are right on the beach.
Are you telling me that it is more expensive to live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, than to have a home or an apartment in a beach community in Florida?
Has the world gone crazy?
I love Tuscaloosa, and I moved here with my family when I was only 14, and I attended Tuscaloosa County High School.

Let’s be realistic with this information. If you could choose to live anywhere in the United States of America and money were no issue, what would you choose for yourself or your family?
Would you choose Tuscaloosa over all the resort towns in California or Florida, or over Savannah, Georgia?
Georgia has a couple of those islands that are so beautiful that multiple celebrities now own homes there, like Ben Affleck and Tom Cruise.
According to a new study released this week, our home in West Alabama, Tuscaloosa, is one of the most expensive cities in America for rent.
The next city on the list is Mobile, but Tuscaloosa is ahead by a wide margin.

You can not be serious. Napa, California, is wine country, and some of the most expensive properties in the world can be found there.
Yet, Tuscaloosa costs more to rent a place than those resort and vacation cities.
This reporter finds it hard to understand how this could be true.
