I can't believe this is the first of its kind in the South. Deviled eggs are a staple in the Southeast, especially during any holiday celebration. Who doesn't love the delicious deviled egg? That scrumptious little white and yellow boat of sweet and sour and sometimes spicy goodness.

WHERE ARE THE BEST DEVILED EGGS IN WEST ALABAMA?

That is the $10,000 question for this event. Fifteen (and counting) incredible restaurants are making their best concoctions in hopes of claiming the title of BEST DEVILED EGG in Tuscaloosa and West Alabama. This event will take place on May 30th at Druid City Brewing Co. in Tuscaloosa. It begins at 2 pm, and everyone is invited.

If you buy tickets in advance or at the door, you will be entitled to sample all of these wonderful treats. In addition, every attendee will be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 tire certificate from B.F. Goodrich of Tuscaloosa.

Restaurants like River Tuscaloosa, Jim 'n Nicks BBQ, Big Bad Breakfast, Urban Bar & Kitchen & The 205, just to name a few. One of the most interesting entrants is the crew from Peterbrooke Chocolatier in Tuscaloosa. Rumors abound as to what they might be putting together for the competition.

Most importantly, all proceeds benefit the Tuscaloosa Public Library in the quest to obtain a new bookmobile. The library uses the bookmobile to serve older Tuscaloosa-area residents, as well as all ages who are unable to reach their local library. This is a valuable outreach, and the funds are desperately needed at this time.
