Top 10 Artists from Mississippi
With thousands of football fans leaving for Mississippi on Saturday, I figured now was the perfect time for a list of my favorite artists from the Magnolia State!
Mississippi is probably most well know as "The Birthplace of the Blues." A title other states or cities have tried to claim over the years, but with major players like B.B. King, Robert Johnson, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, and Howlin' Wolf all hailing from Mississippi, their arguments may be shot down.
I did my best to mix this list up and feature some other genres of music as well.
An abbreviated version of this list can be heard on The Tide Tailgate Show on our sister station Tide 99.1 Saturday morning.
