Tide 4 Christ is a college ministry in Tuscaloosa and is part of the Central Church of Christ.
One of their big annual events is coming up soon, and it's called "Walk 4 Water".
Walk 4 Water is an event to raise awareness of the 4-mile average walk many women and children across the world take each day to access clean water, as well as to raise funds for the direct construction of water wells in their communities.
It is a mission of Healing Hands International, a faith-centered global aid nonprofit, and is being hosted in Tuscaloosa for its 10th year by Tide 4 Christ.
The group's fundraising goal is $7,500, which covers the cost of building one water well and providing a filtration system to some of the more than 770 million people worldwide without access to clean drinking water.
This year’s walk will take place on the University of Alabama’s Quad on March 29th at 5:15 pm.
For more information or to get involvedgo to walk4water.hhi.org/tuscaloosa-al-2026 to register to participate in the walk (typically lasting an hour) and/or donate to the cause directly or by sponsoring a walker.
Additional information can be found on Tide 4 Christ’s social media, @tide4christ.
It's a great opportunity to play a direct role in providing life-saving access to water today.
