The Story Behind My ‘The Bear’ Dice – It Came From Monk’s Office

One of my coworkers told me today I have one of the most unique offices in our building, so I got to looking at it and thinking about the history behind it. It's an eclectic mix of junk and accomplishments (the two running awards that I have stashed in the back, for example. And the viking horns I wore at the Warrior Dash, resting on my CD case.)

I posted this picture on Facebook a couple weeks ago and 26 people liked it – I was surprised, but that's pretty cool.

The popularity of the picture says a lot about the radio station, and the name "The Bear" – how powerful that word is here in Tuscaloosa. We used these dice for a promotion called Trucks or Bucks. You had to roll the dice and spell out "The Bear" – the closer you got to spelling out the name, the more money you get.
