A prayer wall inside Heritage House Coffee is covered with hundreds of heartfelt prayers from people all over Tuscaloosa.

Written in pen on plain white tags the presentation was humble, but the needs were great. Some prayed for relationships. Others prayed for employment. Many sought wisdom and a few plead for their friends comfort who'd recently lost a loved one. I was moved by the heartfelt pleas left on the Prayer Wall at the Heritage House.

With every prayer I read, the warmth spread in heart until I didn't care that a few errant tears spilled over onto my cheek. I prayed for many of those nameless individuals who had faith that someone would see their need and intercede on their behalf.

I had my own prayer requests that I wanted on that wall and as I scribbled down my one-word request, I had a moment of inspiration. I stepped back and asked for God to lead me to the need He wanted me to focus on. I reached up grabbed a tag and stuck the paper in my purse.

The prayer now rests on dashboard in my car. Each time I get in my car to go somewhere, I'm reminded to pray for this unknown individual. I have no idea who this person is, but I feel close to them and I hope they can sense someone is thinking about their need.

I would like to issue a challenge: take a moment to stop by Heritage House to leave a prayer and take a prayer. Do it every week. Encourage your Facebook friends to join you by sharing a picture of the anonymous need you're praying for. Perhaps the person who left that prayer will see your post and know that you're seeking God's wisdom for them on their behalf.

The Prayer Wall Community will take a little effort but anything worth having always does. The parking lot is often full and finding somewhere to park can be a challenge, but the blessings you'll receive will far outweigh any inconvenience.

Galatians 5:13 'For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.'
