Men In Alabama Are Ranked Dead Last In The USA!
As a man living in Alabama, I am deeply disturbed by this recent report.

This is serious stuff we're talking about here. The folks at wallethub.com do multiple studies and research projects on lifestyle issues across the country. The researchers looked at several categories. For example, average working hours for men, unemployment rates for fathers with young children, income, and insurance. By the way, more on that insurance thing in a moment.
Now, the KEY metric that weighed the most in this survey was men's life expectancy. In fact, they made it clear that nothing else mattered as much. That is hard to argue.
TIME TO COUNT THIS DOWN.
THE BEST STATES FOR FATHERS/MEN IN AMERICA
5. Rhode Island
4. New Jersey
3. Washington, DC
2. Connecticut
1. Massachusetts
Those are the BEST states for men in the USA. Now, we must dig in and see the list of the five bottom feeders. The five WORST states for men in America.
THE WORST STATES FOR FATHERS/MEN IN AMERICA
5. New Mexico
4. Louisiana
3. Nevada
2. Mississippi
So...
which
state
is
the
absolute
worst?
1. ALABAMA
I just can't explain it to myself. The worst state for men, in terms of life expectancy, is Alabama. That is simply awful news for us guys. I'm wondering if we should move.
One tiny silver lining in this dark cloud was given to me by the Townsquare Media News Director, Don Hartley, a few moments ago. It is a breakdown of Alabama counties, with figures showing which counties have higher male life expectancy.
Henry County, Houston County, Tuscaloosa County, Lauderdale County, Autauga County, Limestone County, Madison County, Lee County, Baldwin County, and Shelby County are the top counties with the highest life expectancy in Alabama.
