THANK YOU TO THE PEOPLE OF NORTHPORT & TUSCALOOSA. The images from Kentucky after the tornado plowed through the state were breathtaking. We know the feeling in Tuscaloosa and a relief effort began last week. A wonderful group of folks from SWJ Technology in Tuscaloosa wrote a great message on some packages of diapers heading to Kentucky.

What is our society becoming? I have no doubt that this sort of thing could happen in Tuscaloosa, Northport, Moundville, Coker, Gordo, Jasper or Cottondale one day. It has happened multiple times in the last few years.

They say many of us have a plan if the Zombie Apocalypse finally hits us all in the USA. I can believe that. What about a plan for zombie raccoons? These little evil creatures are just plain mean. Now, we may have to deal with them in West Alabama.

It's Christmas time in Alabama once again. For the last couple of years it has been very strange from January through November. The pandemic has caused major changes in our somewhat normal lives. We all know people and/or families that could use a little help this Christmas season.

This is a new one. I have seen hundreds of rankings on the safest, cleanest, wealthiest and ugliest cities in Alabama and America. I have never seen a ranking based on "fun". Define fun. According to Webster it's something "amusing or enjoyable".

Please tell me this is almost over. I confess to be a big wimp when it comes to bugs, insects and other crawling living things. Winter is closing in and I hope this ends the infestation. I moved back to West Alabama in September, and I was greeted by the biggest spider these eyes have ever seen.

All these coaches, and yes, even Nick Saban make too much money! There is no reason anyone should make this kind of money! I don't care what you think about politics or former President Trump. This is good stuff no matter who you voted for in the last election. Alabama football TRUMPS all things political. As a Tide fan, I'm most focused on those puppy dogs from down in Georgia.

Several folks are reporting a white bull on the loose on 216 near Rocky Branch. This is a very big bull and it is considered dangerous.
