Up against an undefeated Hillcrest (4-1), it was a battle of the mind to see who would remain unphased in a high-stakes game that came down to the very last second...again.

Hillcrest, ACA, Gordo, Bibb County and South Lamar are still in it to win it in High School baseball.  In Class 6A, Hillcrest swept Chelsea on the road last week and the pats host #1 Russell County.  Hillcrest students who attend the game and sit in the student section’s “left field lounge” on Friday night will get free hot dogs according to the Tuscaloosa News...

The Hillcrest Patriots are #1 for the first time in history.  The program began in 1981 and Hillcrest made their first playoff appearance in 1983.  Hillcrest now has 9 wins going into tonights game versus Selma and is ranked #1 in 6a football...

So it's already week 5 of high school football.  It's hard to believe that the regular season is already halfway over but time flies as we have fun i guess.  We are seeing incredible play for teams like Hillcrest and Gordo who are both 4-0...

Northridge @ Brookwood:  Northridge is 0 and 3 and giving up too many points on defense.  Brookwood is 1-2, unbeaten at home with that big overtime win vs Oak Grove 2 weeks ago.  Coach Ricky Bush knows the Jags are super hungry for a win tonight...

Hillcrest vs Demopolis:  This was a 42-0 halftime score with Hillcrest barely using Brian Robinson, the UA commit.  Robinson finished with only 55 yards and 2 Td's and Hillcrest proved they will be very balanced offensively this year.
