95.3 The Bear

I have said many times that I am a fan of the strange, weird and unusual. Maybe we all are that way. However, this was highly unusual. I had NEVER seen anything like this in my life. I must say, I was very excited to get the job offer that brought me back to Tuscaloosa.

Did you know that Alabama, along with Georgia, are the top states for "Bigfoot" sightings. An Alabama newspaper, the Geneva Reaper, reportedly put a photo of "Bigfoot" on their front page years ago. It's hard to find a copy, I have tried multiple times, but I've heard from many who claim it did happen.

Personally, I like odd. Strange, peculiar, bizarre, eccentric, freakish, quirky things. I think crazy people are happier than the rest of us. They don't know they are crazy. I have lived in Tuscaloosa, off and on, since 1988. I thought I knew lots about Tuscaloosa.

I love a good mystery. Unless I'm in it! It's so good to be back in Tuscaloosa and on The Steve & DC Show every morning on 95.3 The Bear. So, we are going through our old photos and we find a picture of me with my brothers and mother taken on Halloween night in Tuscaloosa.

IT'S ABOUT THAT TIME OF THE YEAR! Halloween. Some folks live for this time of year. I'm torn on that notion. I like it, but from a distance. The fact that a couple of the scariest houses in the southeast, are in my backyard of Tuscaloosa and Northport, is a little too close for comfort.

It’s not clickbait. Mark my words because one day, this is going to happen. Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is a city that I have lived in, off and on, since the 80s. Oh, how I love Alabama and, in particular, my Alabama Crimson Tide.

Ugly is all over Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Why is everyone so UGLY? Yes, I met the ugliest woman in Tuscaloosa. I know her name, BUT I probably shouldn't print it. I want to tell you badly, but I can tell you she’s an assistant manager on the late afternoon crew.

As Alabama fans search to find viewing options for Saturday's game, The Washington Post recognized two Tuscaloosa radio stations for their continued coverage.
