On U.S. 43, farmer Jim Bird has adorned his land with some interesting objects including a 32-foot-tall statue of the Tin Man from "Wizard of Oz."

By using items such as old bathtubs or strangely shaped hay bales, Bird has been able to maintain a $5 limit on each of his creations. The large Tin Man is the only exception, costing $40 to make.

In addition to the Tin Man, Bird has also constructed a spider, a helicopter, and an oversized octopus consuming a diver. His works of art have been featured in articles all around the U.S. and were even the subject of a small Japanese documentary.

Bird's creative pasture can be found just 8 miles north of Demopolis overlooking the Tombigbee River.
