This weekend, a great local Tuscaloosa business is throwing a unique party for all ages. In addition, the fun event will benefit a wonderful cause.

A place known for selling fun, Bama Buggies, is celebrating its Slingshot 3-wheeler with a special weekend ride. You have probably seen the parade of slingshot vehicles going up and down Skyland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa at some point over the last few years. I've been caught in one of those traffic jams, and it is fun to watch.

The people who own slingshots are very passionate about their unique three-wheel vehicle. I’ve seen parades of slingshots in just about every imaginable loud color you could possibly think of through Tuscaloosa.

Bama Buggies will host this special slingshot event this Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm. It's the "Slingshot Ride Experience & Ride In".

There is a contest with multiple prizes awarded for the proudest, the loudest, and the "king of sling". Registration for the contest begins at 9 am and ends at 10:30 am.

The contest begins at 11:00 am and costs $25 to enter. Bama Buggies has arranged for food trucks, prizes, and music throughout the event. All proceeds from the event will benefit UCP of West Alabama's Big Dreams Outdoors. The incredible group at UCP of West Alabama is literally making dreams come true for those who otherwise would not have such a special experience.
