Mother nature seems confused when it comes to the Fall temperature in Alabama, but the beauty of this time of the year is very noticeable. The temps will be dropping this weekend and it's shaping up to be a perfect time to seem some amazing sights in Southern Alabama. I recently took a day trip to Birmingham and Oneonta/Blount County just to see some of God's work in Alabama's Fall Foliage. Here's a breakdown of a few of my favorite spots:

The Covered Bridges in Oneonta/Blount County. There are three covered bridges in the Oneonta area and if you haven't had a chance to visit them, it's worth the 90 minute drive. Take your family, friends or even go alone - the covered bridges make for a incredible fall day trip that you'll truly enjoy! The Horton Mill, Old Easley and Swann covered bridges are picture perfect this time of the year. Check out the pictures from my visit!

Oak Mountain State Park. If you'd rather stay closer to T-Town, the quick drive to Pelham is pretty perfect, too! The view from Peavine Overlook and Peavine Falls at Oak Mountain State Park are even more beautiful during the fall season! I love going for a run, enjoying the cool fall breeze and sights!
